Spanish Immersion

Over 550 million people around the world speak Spanish, which is roughly 8% of the world’s population. Spanish is also considered the fourth most powerful language in the world, slightly behind French, Mandarin Chinese, and English.

Bilingual people switch between two language systems, demonstrating an active and flexible brain, improved mathematical understanding, and strong critical thinking skills. Bilingual children also have opportunities to engage in a global community, exploring people and cultures different than their own.

The Spanish Immersion Montessori Toddler Community at our North Cypress campus meets the developmental needs of children ages 18 months to 2 ½ years – as well as Spanish language teaching. Classes are conducted fully in Spanish, while also encouraging children to be confident, independent, while developing fine motor skills and oral language. Children also complete their toilet training in this class.  If ready for more challenging work, our Toddlers master numbers and science concepts in preparation for the Children’s House (ages 2 ½ – 6).  During the day, students are served snacks, and they have ample outdoor playtime.
