As part of our #Rio2016 celebration, Ms. Joan Spillane Postma visited Montessori Preschool at Copperfield. She shared her Olympic Gold Medal and other mementos from her journey with the Primary and Kindergarten students.
Ms. Postma, alongside three other athletes, won the 1960 Rome Olympics Gold Medal in the 400-meter freestyle swimming relay in a world-record time of 4:08.9 minutes.
