Montessori Preschool – a boutique network of schools serving children ages 6 weeks to 6 years – is pleased to launch its 25th Anniversary celebrations by awarding its 25th Anniversary Scholarship of $1,000 to one of its employees, Ms. Hashindri Silva, an early educator, artist, and aspiring doctor who is pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Houston.
“We’re delighted to support our teachers – the backbone of our school – in their desired areas of personal growth over the past 25 years,” said Ms. Ann Kalra, Founder and President of Montessori Preschool. “The quality of early education is fundamentally linked to the quality of a well-rounded teacher. We must support early educators in their personal endeavors, growth, and independence.”

Since its founding in 1996, the school has grown to 3 campuses across the Cy-Fair area. Each campus is spread on nearly 1 acre of land, accommodating a close-knit community of families passionate about early education. The schools are known for its unique international doll collection of over 180 dolls, donated by school parents to represent the diverse heritage of the school’s students and its emphasis on developing a global outlook in the early years the Montessori way.
“We are pleased to honor Ms. Hashindri Silva – who demonstrates a commitment to excellence in early education not only in the classroom but also by encouraging children to express themselves through the visual arts. Ms. Silva represents our hope for all early educators to become vocal advocates of early education, a critical component to prepare our future citizens towards global competitiveness.” said Mr. Kevin Kalra, Director of Innovation and Global Strategy, Montessori Preschool.
